My top picks for Graphic Design inspiration

If you need some design inspiration, whether you are starting a new project or want to keep up with current design trends then look no further. We have created our top picks for design inspiration, ranging from web to print, and everything in between.

Pinterest

Pinterest is very popular for design inspiration as users can share and discover new ideas through ‘pinning’. Users are quickly able to discover more examples and bring up associated projects and posts. This does not stop at design and can be used for other things such as other ideas, interests and hobbies.

Fonts in Use

Fonts In Use exists as an archive of fonts in use and font pairings, so there are hundreds of supporting examples, (contributed by the public) guaranteed to include examples of what you are looking for. This is a great source for design inspiration for your own projects in gaining the design you are looking to achieve.

Awwwards

Awwwards is a great example of web design inspiration. This aims to promote innovative design work and all web developers can submit to this. The examples here are very slick and cutting-edge, giving examples of how you can push the boundaries of typical web design. They also feature a ‘site of the day’ which gives users creative examples daily.

Behance

This platform is a part of the Adobe suite and is one of the leading sites providing a community for designers to publish their own work and discover others. The platform aims to get creatives noticed for their work as this goes hand in hand with Adobe portfolio, which gives designers an extra boost in showcasing their design work.

D&AD

Founded in 1962 D&AD was created by a group of Designers and Art directors with the aim to award creative work in both design and advertising. As D&AD is a well-known platform amongst creatives, many enter their competition briefs in the hopes to win one of their prestigious pencil awards – the site is bursting with creative inspiration.

It's Nice That

It's Nice That it is an online platform that believes creative inspiration is for everyone. Their examples range from graphic design to sustainability and they also run ‘Nicer Tuesdays’ – an event where they bring speakers together for ten minutes to talk about their most recent projects.

Creative Boom

Creative Boom's mission is to celebrate, inspire and support the creative community. They have a ‘Latest’ and ‘News’ section on their website informing creatives on big launches, award ceremonies and other announcements. They source inspiration from both emerging and established artists to spark creative ideas.

Dribbble

Dribble is a sharing platform for design work, which has a blog too. This has lots of inspiration from well-known artists to upcoming ones – not only is this great to share and grow but they also aim to get creatives hired too.

Visiting different locations can also help spark creative ideas too! There are lots of amazing galleries in and around London, visiting exhibitions can be a great day out as well as helping your idea generation, for example, the Tate, Saatchi Gallery. Design Museum, Tate Modern, 180 Strand, and Wellcome Collection.

My final tip is to take advantage of social media! We are all guilty of spending a little too much time on our phones nowadays but there are great Instagram and TikTok accounts that are creative, and you are free to follow what ones suit you. By following more creative accounts you can keep up to date with design trends.
